Letterkenny University Hospital is an acute general and maternity hospital delivering a patient-centred, quality-driven focused service and a wide range of diagnostic and support services. LGH is a teaching hospital with links to the National University of Ireland Galway, the Royal College of Surgeons and the Letterkenny Institute of Technology. Undergraduate Nurse, Midwifery, and AHP training and clinical placements are also provided at the hospital along with post graduate Medical and Nursing education.

Letterkenny Pathfinder Service is successfully preventing hospital admissions for older patients

Letterkenny University Hospital is inviting parents and their families who have experienced bereavement through the death of a child or who have lost a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, still birth or neo-natal death, to a remembrance service which will take place in Conwal Parish Church in Letterkenny on April 28th.

The event, organised by the LUH Postgraduate Medical Education Department, showcased some of the excellent research taking place within LUH and the broader community, with oral and poster presentations from staff representing a wide range of disciplines within our healthcare services as well as University of Galway medical students.
