The Emergency Department (ED) at Portiuncula University Hospital (PUH) is extremely busy today and the hospital is advising that patients who attend ED for routine and non-urgent treatment will experience very long waiting times.
Tee19 Bar and Restaurant at Ballinasloe Golf Club recently donated a cheque for €3,570 to the Maternity Bereavement Services at Portiuncula University Hospital (PUH).
On the 02 December Tee19 Bar and Restaurant played host to Santa Claus as well as holding a raffle to raise the funds.
Due to outbreaks of Flu and COVID-19 in the hospital, Portiuncula University Hospital is appealing to the public not to visit the hospital if they are feeling unwell or have respiratory symptoms.
The hospital is currently dealing with a flu and Covid outbreak on St John’s Ward and visiting to that ward will be facilitated on compassionate grounds, on an exceptional basis only. To arrange a visit on compassionate grounds, please contact the ward manager in advance.
Portiuncula University Hospital (PUH) is asking the public to not visit patients at the hospital if they are feeling unwell. Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is circulating in our communities and the hospital is currently treating patients, including infants, who are very sick with RSV.
Galway University Hospitals, End of Life Committee are holding their 14th Interfaith Memorial Service in memory of our patients who have died, in The Ardilaun Hotel, Taylors Hill, Galway.
The service is being held on the 30th November 2023 at 7pm.
Galway University Hospitals care for patients from a wide geographical area and the End of Life Committee want to reach out and acknowledge the loss felt by all families and friends who have been bereaved.
