Portiuncula University Hospital is delighted to announce that it will be celebrating 80 years of delivering healthcare to Ballinasloe and the surrounding areas this year. As part of that celebration, the hospital will hold a special mass on Thursday, 20 April at 3pm in Gullanes Hotel, Ballinasloe.

Portiuncula University Hospital has launched the ‘Little Journey’ virtual reality app to help children between the ages of 3 and 12, to prepare for surgery and allay their anxiety in advance of their hospital stay.
The ‘Little Journey’ app provides 360 degree views of all the areas the children will visit at the hospital as well as useful information about anaesthesiology tailored to the age of the child.

Portiuncula University Hospital is inviting parents and their families who have experienced bereavement through the death of a child or who have lost a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, still birth or after birth, to a Service of Remembrance which will take place in the hospital on Monday 13 February.
