Location of Post
The post will be appointed to the Physiotherapy Department, Galway University Hospitals (GUHs).
GUHs Physiotherapy Department is one department across two sites – University Hospital Galway (UHG) and Merlin Park University Hospital Galway (MPUHG).
Galway University Hospitals is a major academic teaching hospital and has a large Physiotherapy Department. There are upwards of 100 staff across the two sites, providing a wide range of acute and rehabilitation services such as Critical Care, Surgical Respiratory and Rehabilitation, Medical Respiratory and Rehabilitation, Elective and Trauma Orthopaedics, Older Persons Services, Stroke, Oncology, Radiotherapy, Cardiothoracics, Cystic Fibrosis, Acute medical and surgical units, Rehabilitation, Paediatrics, Women’s Health, MSK OPD, Plastics etc.
Tutors will be based in relevant clinical site(s) as determined by student placement requirements.
There is an initial part-time (0.85 WTE) permanent vacancy for a Senior Physiotherapist, Practice Tutor working with the University of Limerick
The successful candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
