Post Specific Related Information 

The person holding the post of Principal Physicist (Radiotherapy) is required to:

  • Demonstrate evidence of initiating, developing and implementing major clinical programmes in a multidisciplinary environment within radiation oncology.
  • Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience performing in, delivering and developing a radiotherapy physics service to support external beam and brachytherapy treatment provision in a clinical environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to act as a Medical Physics Expert within the Category of Therapeutic Applications of Ionising Radiation to comply with S.I.256 (19) and (20).
  • Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in initiation, participation and completion of research and development programmes.
