Post Specific Related Information 

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Sufficient depth and breadth of experience of working in a laboratory, healthcare or similarly regulated environment to enable them to safely and effectively undertake the duties of a Medical Laboratory Aide.
  • Experience of working as part of a team in a busy service environment where accuracy, attention to detail and adherence to defined procedures are essential.
  • The ability to safely and accurately undertake duties associated with the receipt, identification, preparation, handling and processing of patient specimens, following appropriate training and competency assessment.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a busy environment where there may be competing demands and time-sensitive specimens.
