Purpose of the Post:

The purpose of the role is to provide support and facilitate compliance with the processes, policies and legislation under Health & Safety Legislation

· Co Ordinate best practice in Health and Safety or other areas.

· Co-Ordinate, advice and support regarding health and safety matters, assist Hospital management to ensure that the high standards of health and safety as dictated by HSE Corporate and legislation are met and that continuous improvement is promoted based on systematic organisational learning in ensuring that the high standards of health and safety are maintained.

· Advise and support staff & management in setting up, maintaining and improving systems that underpin an effective integrated health and safety governance system within the Hospital.
