Galway University Hospitals Arts Trust (GUHAT) invites professional practising artists to apply for 3 opportunities in Saolta University Health Care Group hospitals in 2019 – 2020. Shortlisted artists will have a practice that is appropriate or can be adapted to the acute hospital environment, and a commitment to participatory/collaborative practice and public engagement.
The Saolta University Health Care Group has stated that the industrial action by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) today will have a significant impact on patient services across all of our hospitals.
All our hospitals are very busy today and we would advise that people only attend our emergency departments if absolutely essential.
Nurses and midwives who are members of the INMO are due to commence strike action from 8am on Wednesday, 30th January 2019. The strike will end at 8am on Thursday, 31st January 2019. This means many of our services will not be available on the day of the strike (Wednesday, 30th January).
If you have an appointment or procedure that is cancelled, we will contact you directly to reschedule.
Please only attend our emergency services if absolutely essential.
The Saolta University Health Care Group has received notice of strike action from the Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation (INMO). The first day of strike action is scheduled for Wednesday January 30th 2019 at 8am to Thursday 31st at 8am. Additional strike dates are notified for February 5th, 7th, 12th, 13th and 14th.
The HSE is negotiating with the INMO to secure the safest possible level of cover in health and social care services on that day.
