HSE launch three new Community Inclusion Services across County Donegal

The HSE has officially launched a number of Community Inclusion (CI) services across County Donegal recently, marking an important step forward in strengthening person-centred supports and inclusive opportunities within local communities.

HSE in partnership with Boots Ireland host free ‘Let’s talk about dementia and brain health’ event in Leitrim

The HSE together with Boots Ireland invites the community to come together in Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim for an evening of information and inspiration.

Boots located at Carrick on Shannon Shopping Centre, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim is set to host a free brain health and dementia awareness event on May 20th at 6.30pm, as part of a nationwide series in partnership with the HSE’s Dementia: Understand Together campaign.

HSE West and North West advancing excellence in Dementia Care through continuous learning and innovation

The second HSE West and North West Dementia Conference recently took place in ATU's Sligo campus, bringing together over 240 healthcare professionals, researchers and advocates to a full day of collaboration and commitment to improving dementia care across the region. Hosted in partnership with ATU, the event highlighted innovation, shared learning and the central importance of lived experience in shaping future services.

Families in the North West invited to help shape Sunflower Children’s Hospice through engagement workshop

Families with lived experience of caring for a child with a life-limiting illness, or who have experienced the death of a child, are invited to take part in a family engagement workshop with Mayo Roscommon Hospice / HSE. The workshop will help inform the design and development of the proposed Sunflower Children’s Hospice, a major new healthcare project for the region.

Integrated Care Hub Enhances Cardiac Care for Patients Across East Galway and Roscommon

Cardiology patients across East Galway and Roscommon are experiencing faster, more accessible, and personalised care thanks to the East Galway Roscommon Integrated Care Hub, which provides a community-based Consultant-led and Clinical Nurse Specialist service.

Led by Consultant Cardiologist Dr Nuria Farre, the Hub has seen over 1,000 patients since its introduction in April 2023, delivering timely cardiac care closer to patients in their own communities.

Donegal Disability Services host Safeguarding Awareness Event

Following on from the success of previous Safeguarding Awareness Events, Donegal Disability Services held its third Safeguarding Awareness Event in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny recently, to mark national Adult Safeguarding Day. The theme for this year’s National Safeguarding Day was ‘My Voice is My Right’.
