The new Integrated Blood Sciences Project at the Laboratory in Roscommon University Hospital was officially opened today, Monday 03 December 2018 by Maurice Power, Group CEO Saolta University Health Care Group.
Ann Marie Healy, Radiographer at Roscommon University Hospital was awarded ‘Radiographer of the Year’ at the annual Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy (IIRRT) Medray Awards which were presented during the IIRRT Conference in Galway on Saturday.

Visiting restrictions on St. Coman’s Medical Ward at Roscommon University Hospital have now been lifted. However, it still remains very important that any visitors with recent symptoms of diarrhoea and/or vomiting do not visit patients in the hospital.
We would remind visitors to adhere to the set visiting times of 2-4pm and 6.30 to 8pm and to use the alcohol hand gels supplied as they enter and leave the hospital.
Roscommon University Hospital is asking people to comply with visitor restrictions on St Coman's Medical Ward. This is due to a number of suspected cases of the vomiting bug (Norovirus). In order to assist staff in curtailing the spread of this virus, it is imperative that there is no visiting to St Coman's ward at this time.

After 44 years of service in the Catering Department at Roscommon University Hospital, Helen Hunt has finally hung up her apron.
Helen Hunt from Four Mile House, County Roscommon joined the Catering Department back in 1974 as a catering assistant, and it wasn’t before long she took up the position of chef where she demonstrated her excellent cookery skills, triumph in her dedication and commitment to her new role.
