Location of Post

There is one permanent wholetime vacancy in the Medical Microbiology Laboratory, University Hospital Galway, West/ North West/ Saolta University Health Care Group

 

Initial assignment will be to University Hospital Galway.

The successful candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.

 

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Medical Scientist, Senior, Microbiology from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Application Details

Post Specific Related Information 

  • Demonstrate depth and breadth of post qualification experience in a hospital Microbiology Laboratory as relevant to the role. [Must show evidence of working in a Microbiology Laboratory accredited to ISO 15189]
  • Demonstrate depth and breadth of post qualification experience with the Laboratory Information System [LIMS].

Demonstrate experience of managing and running APEX LIMS system for Microbiology.
