There is currently one permanent whole-time vacancy available in Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Pelvic Health in University Hospital Galway (UHG).

 

Galway University Hospitals (GUH’s) Physiotherapy Service comprises over 120 staff across University Hospital Galway (UHG) and Merlin Park University Hospital (MPUH), delivering comprehensive acute, rehabilitation, and specialist physiotherapy services to support patient care across the full spectrum of hospital activity.

 

Services are provided for evening and weekend on-call

GUH is a student undergraduate placement education site

 

The Pelvic Health physiotherapy service is delivered by a team of a Clinical Specialist in Uro- Gynaecology, Clinical Specialist Pelvic Health, Senior in Pelvic Health & Continence and 2 staff grades, providing a range of ante- natal , post natal and gynaecological and other pelvic health services. 

 

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Pelvic Health from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Post Specific Related Information 

  • Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in pelvic health including the assessment and management of continence disorders and complex pelvic floor dysfunction. Candidates should also demonstrate relevant experience and skills in the management of persistent pain and associated musculoskeletal presentations.
  • Experience in leading and supervising a team of physiotherapists
  • Experience in developing and implementing pathways of care to enhance patient outcomes
  • Evidence of knowledge and understanding of Irish Health Service reform programmes
