Post Specific Related Information 

  • Have current experience working with midwives in clinical practice
  • Competent in the clinical skills required to support midwives in the maternity department 
  • Works to keep education programmes fresh and maintains currency of educational programmes informed by evidence
  • Provide evidence of clinical supervision, mentoring and expert resource.
  • Open to using simulation as part of their teaching strategy and keeps up to date with advancements in this area
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting staff midwives and give the time and effort to engage with and be accessible to staff midwives. 
  • Demonstrates excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills, to effectively meet deadlines and to deliver to high standards across the areas of responsibility
  • Has good time management skills to manage workload
