Who We Are
Sligo University Hospital provides high-quality healthcare to the people of Sligo, Leitrim, South Donegal and West Cavan.
SUH provides Acute Inpatient, Outpatient, and Day Services as well as Regional Specialty Services in Ophthalmology and Ear, Nose and Throat Services.
SUH has a Medical Academy with NUI Galway which includes clinical rotations/ education for medical students from NUI Galway on Sligo University Hospital Campus.
Description
Post: Temporary Medical Officer, Community Hospital, Our Lady's Hospital Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim.
Tenure: This post is temporary and 39 hours per week, with 32 hours onsite as follows; 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 12.30pm Friday (These on-site hours are subject to change). In addition, on-call, off-site cover will be provided to Our Lady’s Hospital from 8am to 8.30am Monday to Friday, 4pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday and 13.00pm to 6pm Friday. The on-call arrangements are subject to change/cease during the contract.
Duration: 1 Year with a view to extension if agreeable by both parties.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Physicians including GP for the position of Medical Officer at OLHM.
Commencement date: As soon as possbile / August 2026
Candidates must have active specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council and relevant experience at time of interview.
