Post Specific Related Information 

  • Exercised senior executive leadership as Head of Perfusion or Senior Perfusionist, directing the strategic planning, clinical governance, and operational delivery of perfusion services across cardiothoracic surgical programs.
  • Partnered directly with Hospital Management, Clinical Directors, and the Health Regions to align departmental capability with national service demands, optimisng capital equipment procurement, on-call rostering, and workforce planning.
  • Led on integrated multidisciplinary governance across the Cardiothoracic Department, working in tandem with Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Intensivists, Anaesthetists, and Directorate Nurse Managers to drive safety benchmarks and clinical standardisation.
  • Governed departmental risk management, incident reporting (NIMS), and continuous quality improvement, leading the formulation of evidence-based clinical protocols compliant with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland (CCPS) standards.
  • Directed the professional development, competency assessment, and performance pathways for a specialized team of clinical perfusionists, fostering leadership pipelines and academic collaboration with university training programmes
