Letterkenny University Hospital is an acute general and maternity hospital delivering a patient-centred, quality-driven focused service and a wide range of diagnostic and support services. LGH is a teaching hospital with links to the National University of Ireland Galway, the Royal College of Surgeons and the Atlantic Technological University Letterkenny. Undergraduate Nurse, Midwifery, and AHP training and clinical placements are also provided at the hospital along with post graduate Medical and Nursing education.

Letterkenny University Hospital welcomes the appointment of Ciaran Callaghan as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in Emergency Care. 

Ciaran works across the Injuries Assessment and Treatment Pathway in the Emergency Department, a service established in 2022 to support the timely delivery of high-quality care for patients presenting with minor injuries.

A new dedicated Infant Feeding room has officially opened at St Conal’s Hospital Campus in Letterkenny today, providing a comfortable, private and welcoming space for mothers and carers who wish to feed infants or express milk while attending the campus.
