The Urology Department at University Hospital Galway has picked up a prestigious award at an international Urology Conference.
The European Association of Urology Nursing Conference took place in Milan, Italy last month. It saw the UHG Urology Department awarded second prize for setting up a clinical-academic partnered hybrid journal and research club.
Following a very busy bank holiday weekend, the Emergency Department at University Hospital Galway remains under significant pressure today. 251 people attended the ED at UHG yesterday, Monday March 20th.
The hospital is advising that patients who attend ED for routine and non-urgent treatment will experience very long waiting times.
As always, people who do require emergency care are encouraged to attend EDs where they will be prioritised.
