Saolta University Cancer Network

The Saolta University Cancer Network provides a wide range of cancer services to over 830,000 people. Complex care is provided at University Hospital Galway, one of 8 designated National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) adult cancer centres. This is complemented by an extensive programme of cancer care across the West and North West region through the hub and spoke model which facilitates care as close to home as possible for our cancer patients.

The Saolta University Cancer Network is a clinical academic partnership between the Saolta University Healthcare Group and the University of Galway.  Located on the University Hospital Galway campus is the Lambe Institute for Translational Research, Health Research Board (HRB) Clinical Research Facility, and the University of Galway School of Medicine.  Affiliated regional University of Galway Medical Academies are located in Mayo, Letterkenny, Sligo and Portiuncula Hospitals.
